In the spirit of no-news-is-good-news, I've taken the beta label off of mt-xml-smart my latest MovableType plugin for providing XML encoding and decoding beyond the basic capabilites of MT's native functionality. The plugin can be found here.
See my previous entry on the plugin for more details to its capabilities. Other then the beta label being removed, nothing has changed.
[Update: Sam Ruby notes a discussion on XML encoding in RSS feeds between Steven Noels and Ugo Cei. Its reoccuring discussions like this one (and also posts like Reverend Jim's) that drove me to write this post and this article eventually leading to the development of mt-xml-smart. Encoding of (X)HTML in the RSS item.description element is an unfortunate misunderstanding from the identity crisis the RSS format suffers from. It causes a lot of heartache even for the best of us with good intentions. While I'm not foolish enough to believe this issue will be or can be fully rectified, I hope that my advocacy and other works make things a little bit better then before.]
